People often ask how I came to be obsessed with tattooed brides..
Strangely enough, my journey into wedding photography started when I was in a punk rock band. But before photographing weddings, I photographed punk bands.
“One of the 100 Best Wedding Photographers in the U.S. and Canada” – SLR Lounge 2016
In my heart I'm instinctively inclusive, always looking for ways to draw others into the circle and make them feel wanted, heard, and appreciated. It's my punk rock ethic. The uniqueness of my photos comes from the uniqueness of my clients. And I believe I have the best, most unique clients in the world.
“He treats weddings as individually as the people in them.” – Inked Magazine, April 2014
Quirky, colorful, creative, awesome people choose Allebach Photography. I have photographed offbeat, gay, trans, straight, straight-edge, roller girl, nerdy, steampunk, punk rock, rockabilly, tattoo artists, untattooed, interfaith weddings and couples with disabilities. Some people give their weddings a label or a style. And some couples just celebrate marriage.
“Mike Allebach possesses an amazing ability to naturally photograph life on the fringe” – Rebel Ink Magazine, January 2014
What people tell me is I'm accepting. No matter what group, condition, life-stage or lifestyle you consider yourself to belong to, I can photograph your union and your partner in crime. I have photographed offbeat weddings since 2006.
All I ask is that you show your true colors.
How I cater to offbeat weddings
I’ve worked with every kind of couple to make sure that they get the photos they want. Weddings in prisons, in the snow, outside and historic churches, buildings and bars. Our engagement and post wedding sessions have included paint throwing, day of the deading, bar hopping, dress burning and one even on earth moving machinery!
Clients love that I work with them on concept engagement sessions and concept post wedding shoots.

P.S. There aren’t enough stars in this rating system! Thank you a billion and one times!"
