Tell us about the ceremony:

Our officiant was a Deadite minister and our vows consisted of zombie apocalypse-type scenarios where we promised to chop off each others' head (and not other body parts) and other bad movie puns. After our vows, we were Carrie-d” by having a bucket of fake blood dumped over our heads. It was so much fun and a very memorable experience for us and all 30+ of our guests.

Tell us about your reception:

We didn't have an official reception. My cousin from Sacramento bought us a glass shotgun filled with tequila, so we just invited our guests up to our hotel room and we had a small party and took turns doing the shotgun shots.

Comments on Kimmy & Brent get “Carrie-d” at their Evil Dead-themed wedding

  1. That’s amazing! I saw Evil Dead the Musical twice when it played in Toronto, however many years ago that was. I can’t imagine how much fun your wedding was 🙂

    • Thanks! It was seriously the most fun we both have ever had. The Evil Dead cast and crew were so amazing and so much fun to work with. They made our wedding even more amazing and special.

  2. I love the Evil Dead musical!! My fiance and I went to see it in Vegas the week that he proposed to me 😀 We agreed that when we renew our vows, we would do it there.

  3. I love this! It’s so fun!! And those shoes are amazing! I’m getting married in Vegas in June. Maybe we should have a party the night before at the show! I love Evil Dead!

  4. OMG! A. That is so amazing and you guys look like you had the time of your life! B. I am friends with one of the actors from the show! Not sure if you met any of them by name but Greg, the guy in the yellow shirt with the longish hair and beard, was a community theater actor in our area before he moved to Vegas. I was in a couple shows with him and even directed him at one point! I hope he helped make your day completely awesome 🙂

    • Yep. We know Greg. He was super awesome and we became Facebook friends after the wedding. Small world 🙂

  5. Hey Kimmy, My fiance and I are headed to Vegas early April 2016 to have an Evil Dead wedding. I wanted to ask you a few questions…
    1) I noticed you listed a photographer, Did you have the photographer at the show? I wanted to get some photos before the show like you did, and also during the ceremony as well. Just wondering If you had a friend take the photos or you rented a photographer for the entire time?

    • Sorry. I just saw this comment now. We did have two photographers. They are friends of ours who live in Vegas but they can be hired to take photos as well. Their links are provided on this page. Feel free to contact them. I hope you have a wonderful wedding.
