Planning tools 101: your wedding vendor contact sheet

We launched a comprehensive and totally customizable document of wedding planning spreadsheets in Google Drive if you’re the type to get down with spreadsheets like I am. We’ve featured a lot of them already, and now we’re sharing the wedding vendor contact sheet to help you organize all your vendor contacts (and have them ready for us in case you submit your wedding!).

How honest should I be with acquaintances about wedding planning?

How honest should I be with acquaintances about wedding planning?

This morning a coworker of mine with whom I am friendly but don’t see very often bustled over to me to ask about the wedding. So I told her how I was really feeling, and I got the impression that just wasn’t what she wanted to hear. How do you handle wedding planning oversharing with coworkers and acquaintances?

Gotham city wedding party? This line of formal superhero fashion is killing it with geek chic

We already know Hot Topic is a bastion of geek and fandom wear, and now they’re branching hardcore into formal wear. Maybe you’re going full-on Batman-themed wedding party or just a subtle Batman reference in the groom’s vest? Either way, a little Dark Knight in your wedding can never go amiss.

Bradley channeled hobbits with this outfit and acorn boutonniere. Plus, there was a hooded cloak involved which we very much dig. Don’t miss the hawk delivering the rings!

Why a murder mystery rehearsal dinner is a KILLER idea for a wedding party

We got this idea from one of the most epic Halloween weddings we’ve featured, Sharon and Kevin’s three-themed gothic wedding. We definitely got caught up in one of their ideas: a murder mystery rehearsal dinner! The best part of getting people into a themed party like this is that it’s going to give guests a reason to talk to one another and let their guards down. Apparently they even kept up the characters after the party! Let’s hear from Sharon on how it went down…

Chili pepper bouquet

Add a little fire to your style with a chili pepper bouquet!

One of our killer photography vendors, [heart link="http://vendors.offbeatwed.com/listing/altar-image-photography"]Altar Image Photography[/heart], captured a hot (literally) chili pepper bouquet that slays. Okay, technically, this was the maid of honor’s bouquet, but who wouldn’t want this to get a little of the spotlight?
