Quarters Farm was not only a beautiful place for Krystyn and Joe to celebrate their wedding day but is also close to their hearts. Joe grew up in the family home on the property. The bed and breakfast and barn were transformed into the most gorgeous wedding space, too. Their casual boho vibe included elements of Lord of the Rings, one of the couples' favorite series.
They also planned events and outfit changes to celebrate Joe's Scottish heritage, including Highland games. Don't miss all of their decor touches, much of which was handmade by Krystyn's sister. Keep an eye out for a huge “One Ring,” jars of wildflowers, a flower man, and loads of kilts…

Comments on A Virginia backyard wedding with Lord of the Rings details
What a beautiful celebration! I love the pattern on that dress – so intricate and pretty.
I’m delighted and impressed that they included a mini Highland Games in their reception! I grew up following my dad around to competitions and hanging out at athletic fields while he practiced his caber toss. What a fun activity to share with one’s guests!
I was so startled to see the MacLeod ‘modern’ tartan on the groom! It’s my school’s tartan (used by clan permission!) and rare enough in the states that I wonder if he went to my college, or knows someone who does.
