Our wedding was as eclectic as Jordan and I are ourselves! I am Christian and Jordan is Jewish so, while we only had a Rabbi at the ceremony, she made sure to highlight our interfaith relationship. The general theme of the wedding was the game that brought me and Jordan together nearly 6 years ago: Dungeons & Dragons!
Our fairytale wedding included medieval and fantasy elements, with much inspiration from The Lord of the Rings. We personalized our non-religious ceremony, and included many nods to Tolkien. We even had a “House Sword” specially forged for the ceremony!
Cameron and Joel’s day was a magical, whimsical celebration of their love in a botanical garden, with tarot readings, cats, colorful inclusivity, and big beautiful nerdy love: their ring boxes were a Poké Ball and a d20!
We met on the battlefield at a LARP (Live Action Role Play) event. So we knew we were going to do something strange when we got to planning our wedding. Our inspiration was a fantastical nexus of realms – where royalty, rogues, mages, merfolk, extraterrestrial beings gathered to witness the joining of our kingdoms.
