From album cover to coaster: These cartoon coaster save-the-dates are delightful
We’ve been seeing snippets from an upcoming “comedy and cartoons” wedding that we’ve been LOVING. I couldn’t stop myself from sharing Julia and Mike’s coaster save-the-date that started as an album cover.
Here’s what Julia told us about it…
Sell the shit out of your wedding with a wedding sales flyer save-the-date
“HUGE SAVINGS of the date!” This sales flyer originally featured at Colleen and David ultra colorful wedding slayed us. Free booze! Free entertainment! SAVE SAVE SAVE the date! Are you loving this hilarious sales flyer save-the-date? So kitschy, so awesome, and it was sure to have given many chuckles to their guests.
Plus, they promised some killer free tote bags (we can’t resist!) and they delivered, as you’ll see below. It was tres funny.
And now for something completely different: a Monty Python save-the-date!
Amsterdam couple Janaina and Coen had always admired vintage-style invitations (as do we!). They tapped into the talented Tara Flanagan to create a most fantastic save-the-date that channeled vintage illustration and Monty Python. It’s unusual, whimsical, and we can’t stop looking at the details. We’ll get more from their wedding later on, but we couldn’t wait to share this Monty Python save-the-date and all its vintage-style details right now.

Who wants a koozie with our wedding date on it, anyway (I don’t even want one for myself)? Ultimately, we wanted a video! Here’s how we did it…
Give your guests the heebie-jeebies with a severed finger save-the-date
Using only a few craft items (mold rubber, a paper cup, some quick-drying plaster, ink, boxes, and some moss), you can trip out your Halloween wedding guests with a faux severed finger inviting them to your spooktastic wedding. If you’ve got a little time on your hands and the bollocks to wig a few folks out (most guests will surely love it!), this is the Halloween save-the-date for you.
