Wedding dates to avoid in 2018, 2019, and beyond
I’m compiling this list of wedding dates to avoid in 2018, 2019, and 2020 in case you want to avoid holidays where family and friends might have conflicting events, holidays where vendors might be especially busy and/or expensive (think Valentine’s Day for florists), or religious holidays where places might be closed or guests might have other plans.
Does this mean you CAN’T book your wedding for one of these days? Hell no!
These wedding invitations are SO GAY (and we love them!)
Sure, you can always customize a pretty wedding invitation with your names, but sometimes you want it to look like a gay wedding invitation, right? Maybe it would be nice to have a custom illustration or some rainbow details? That’s where these LGBTQ and gay wedding invitations and stationery come in. From two penguins (in penguin suits, natch!) to watercolor rainbows to Simpsons-style custom portraits, here are some LGBTQ-themed invites and stationery you’ll love…
This stop-motion save-the-date tells a long distance love story (with dynamite!)
Justine and Josh crafted one of the most creative save-the-date videos we’ve ever seen. It’s like stop-motion animation meets live action comedy meets sheer adorable charisma. I’m pretty sure anyone would cancel all of their plans to accept this particular invitation.
Plus, a whole lot of us know the pain that a long distance relationship can bring. This pair took 90+ hours (each!) to craft this epic stop-motion save-the-date FROM OPPOSITE COASTS!
And now for something completely different: a Monty Python save-the-date!
Amsterdam couple Janaina and Coen had always admired vintage-style invitations (as do we!). They tapped into the talented Tara Flanagan to create a most fantastic save-the-date that channeled vintage illustration and Monty Python. It’s unusual, whimsical, and we can’t stop looking at the details. We’ll get more from their wedding later on, but we couldn’t wait to share this Monty Python save-the-date and all its vintage-style details right now.
