We wanted to be really intentional about how we approached wedding traditions. We kept what we wanted, and left what we didn’t! For instance: as a masculine woman, Ester wanted to experience some of the groom-ish parts of wedding traditions, like seeing her future wife come down the aisle. Also, since neither of us like cake, we had wedding popsicles and wedding churros instead!

Our fairytale wedding included medieval and fantasy elements, with much inspiration from The Lord of the Rings. We personalized our non-religious ceremony, and included many nods to Tolkien. We even had a “House Sword” specially forged for the ceremony!

How my partner & I ended up down the rabbit hole of rad alternative wedding rings
As some of you may know, I’m currently engaged and we’re juuuuust at the point where we both have to start committing to wedding bands. In our searches, I just kept coming back to one of our partners, Revolution Jewelry, since their selection is SO huge.
