Fantastic guests and where to find them… inside this spell book-inspired photo guest book! If you summoned a Harry Potter-inspired photo album, how would it look? Well here's how I envisioned it with Rowlingesque detail…
The general concept was an organic feeling, old school insert-photo style book that simply looked like an ancient spell book. I designed it to look like something a Hogwarts student may have actually taken to class with them, including happenstance potion vial rings, ink blots, and student notations distressing the pages.
Four subjects are illustrated throughout the book, hand-inked in the margins by a seventh year Ravenclaw. Your photos nestle alongside technical drawings of nettle and wolfsbane from Herbology, chemical dust and periodic table notations from Potions, variations of Runes, star charts from Astronomy, and a fascinating breakdown of wand physics involving the analysis of woods and cores, and how they react according to atomic numbers of earth elements. Learn yourself some theoretical physics while you flip through these pages!
Did you see the Marauder's Map on the intro page? It's a wedding invitation designed by my production partner, Paper Truly. The map comes included (with your personalized details) when you purchase this invitation suite from Paper Truly.
“The Standard Book of Spells” was my inspiration for cover titling, which is customizable however you'd like to word it. The book is a 10×13 album with enough space for up to 50 photos… and with the included gold photo corners, I must say, this mystic tome of an album IS a fantastic beast.
Smaller sizes are also available, or without photos as a vow book, or even as a recipe book… ‘cuz how rad would it be to toil and trouble in your kitchen with this thing at your side?
This spell book wizarding wedding album guest book is now available here if you want to snag it for your wedding.
