Bryan and Chris had a little snafu in their ceremony that turned into a killer moment that they actually recommend! We agreed and couldn't wait to recommend totally forgetting to exchange your rings at the ceremony. Yep, you read that right. Here's what happened…
We wrote our own vows, and we hadn't read them to each other before the ceremony, so we ended up in tears. My grandfather (our officiant) was so moved by our vows he totally forgot to tell us to exchange rings! As we were walking back down the aisle we realized we had forgotten them. We snuck away before we entered our reception and exchanged rings privately. It was so intimate. I highly recommend forgetting them.
If you're wanting your own special ceremony moment to yourself away from prying guest eyes, maybe having a separate ring exchange is exactly what you need. Or if not your ring exchange, maybe some of your own personal vows? We know how nerve-wracking it can be to exchange vows in front of a crowd. Here's your chance for that special moment between the two of you. Oh, and maybe your photographer, too.
