If the ceremony runs a little late or you just want to get it started on a silly note, plant someone to start a wave! You'll break some tension, keep 'em entertained, and maybe get some sweet and goofy photos like these at Abby and Steve's wedding. It's like a ceremony blooper reel!

What’s a good way of actually starting this? Like, how do you announce this to the guests?
I would have a few friends in on it, to sit in the first few rows and “shill” for you. Everyone has a couple of pals who want some sort of role in your big day but may not be suitable for the wedding party (for whatever reason- they can’t afford the expense, you’re not having a traditional wedding party, etc.)
