Wedding yay flags from @offbeatbride

Wave these wedding yay flags in a madcap fashion to drum up ALL the excitement

We’ve long been fans of waving around wedding celebration flags and mini wedding yay flags at ceremonies. You can DIY them, buy them in bulk, get them customized to your favorite colors and sayings, and wave them to the sky. Bust out your “hell yeahs,” “the cake is a lie,” or the catchphrase of your choice and get to celebrating! Here are our favorite ways to wave wildly (with loads you can buy for your own wedding)…

Ann & Eric’s Detroit lovefest with old timey revelry

These two love them some old timey fun and brought it ALL to their wedding in the bride’s hometown of Detroit. She also totally schooled her Chicago pals in all things awesome in Detroit: the Henry Ford museum complex, awesome food (including Coney dogs!), and goodie bags filled with local snacks and beers. Get on your penny-farthing and come take a peek!

Betsy & Tiffany’s queer Southern glitter circus wedding

Red and blue and DIY all over — these two ladies know how to throw a stylish and entertaining wedding! They included all of their talented community — performers and bakers alike — and their tribute to what their specific type of marriage means to them is tear-inducing and spot-on. And you MUST see one of the bride’s mom’s awesome, newly acquired aerialist skills! She’s one bad-ass mother.

Megan & Joe’s relaxed daytime wedding with a hug line

This wedding is all about learning experiences: you don’t need fancy “yay” flags when simple ones bring as much fun, dads are sometimes more mushy-gushy than they let on (see the flashing baby photos for proof!), and sometimes a daytime wedding with fabulous food (drooool potatoes) is totally the way to go. Plus: learn what the hell a “hug line” is and how you can get one, too!
