Offbeat Bride’s 5th Birthday
Yesterday marked five years since the day that I launched offbeatwed.com! I wrote a whole big looooong rambling post about it over on the Offbeat Empire business blog yesterday, but to celebrate here on Offbeat Bride, I thought I’d just do a round-up of some of my very favorite shots of Offbeat Brides and their books…

We all know I’m a sucker for photos of readers with their copies of Offbeat Bride — and this shot of Sara takes the cake!
From the duct tape to muglies: all the little ways Offbeat Bride shaped my wedding
“I am very very very happy that I am not getting married pre-Offbeat Bride. I looked at a bridal magazine today and, instead of it intimidating me or making me feel bad about my wedding choices, it looked boring and dated. Where are the coloured dress options? Where are the rocking grooms? Where are the excellent budget options for the recession bride? Where are the wicked cool flower alternatives? They aren’t there.”
Yes, you DO need the book in addition to reading the website

Janelle says: BUY THE BOOK
“My partner of six years officially proposed last weekend! Hooray! And the very first thing I did was BUY THE BOOK! I just got it yesterday and have been burning through it and already there is advice in there about engagement and rings that I have found SO helpful and reassuring.”
The passing of the book
Before leaving home and heading off to her wedding, Djinnaya made sure to grab her Offbeat Bride book for a very special ceremony at her reception.
