Plants vs. Zombies and tons of TARDIS blue: a sunny North Carolina wedding

Erika and Emmanuel chose a Raleigh, North Carolina Moroccan restaurant called Babylon for their ceremony and reception spot. The venue's brightly colored interior and exterior definitely complemented the fun vibe of the day! Wedding decor included wedding flags decorated with hearts and flags that read “Yay” and “Huzzah,” and Erika and Emmanuel carried their own “Mr. and Mrs. Emmerika” flags.

The wedding party wore TARDIS blue socks, dresses, bowties, and shoes in accordance with the couple's Doctor Who fandom. After the ceremony it was on to nomming on a Plants vs. Zombies topped cake. Afterwards, Mr. and Mrs. Emmerika took a private trip to a local hamburger joint.

  1. Gaaaaahhhhh this wedding! I’d been hoping for this since I saw it teased in another post last month. Such a happy, vibrant couple.

  2. Nah, no video games the day of (for us)! we’d never make it to the alter–“just one more mission” :-p
Cool venue and love the blue shoes!

  3. Beautiful wedding and couple! I love the brides’ jacket/bolero. Any information available?

    • I agree beautiful wedding n couple!! I believe that the whole wedding outfit came from Davids Bridals store, I happen to visit their website often so I seen what she worn on there and in stores. If I am not mistaken of course. Happy hunting!

  4. COOKOUT!! OMG! I moved to NC about 11 years ago, and Cookout is one of the best things about this place. Their milkshakes are the freakin’ bomb.

What a joyous wedding! Mazel Tov! 🙂

  5. “EMMERIKA… FUCK YEAH…”
(to be sung to the tune of the Team America song)

  6. As a NC’er, I have to say Hell Yeah Cookout! That is awesome!

On another note, the photo of the groom standing on the wall and the bride sitting next to him…..I can’t even handle all that badassery right now!

  7. This couple looks so in love. My favorite picture is the shipping and receiving pic. The bridal party looks awesome in their sunglasses and TARDIS blue. The bride looks beautiful in her dress, the venue is perfect, and that cake is adorable!
