Leah and Heather were married on June 7th at Triumph Brewing Company in New Hope, PA, where the pair had one of their first dates and countless date nights after. Leah designed the place cards, table numbers, her bouquet, Heather's boutonniere, and the CD favors. But the silver lining moment came when the intense stormy weather caused a blackout at the reception! Candles were brought out, almost everyone stuck it out and finished dinner, and the candlelight made everything intimate and lovely. Potential tragedy turned awesome ambiance! Thanks to Brae Howard Photography for sharing these photos with us.

Meet our fave wedding vendors

Comments on Love triumphs over stormy weather and a reception blackout

    • That dress! Who/What/Where? It’s hard to find short wedding dresses that don’t look like something you wear to bed or a club. Love it!

        • Omg thanks for sharing the dress info! That is truly beautiful.
And you know what they say about rain on your wedding day. It’s like good luck or something. A blackout probably is ever better. My friend got married during the big Nashville flood a few years ago and had to relocate to a veterans center. Long happy marriages ahead!

  1. I always wondered how Triumph sets up for weddings! We go there at least once a month for dinner/drinks. Super cute and I’m glad a blackout didn’t put a damper on it for you guys. 😀

  2. Oh neat! I love seeing weddings that are somewhat local to me (i.e. Philly-area) but it’s even cooler to see one that is practically from my own backyard! I live very close to New Hope and Triumph is a great place for food/drink! 😀 Gorgeous photos and what a lovely wedding!

    • Me too! I love Triumph, and New Hope in general is just adorable. Between this and the Adventure Aquarium wedding, OBB is very Philly-centric this week. 🙂
