Elise and Dick are big fans of Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Battlestar Galactica. They wove their fandoms into a delightfully geeky tapestry, including decorating in Lannister red and yellow, hanging banners with iconography from the films and TV shows, and using blue and purple dragons as tabletop decor. Elise even donned a knee-length Lannister red wedding gown!
Of course, no wedding is complete with bringing your pet guinea pig (named Amadeus) out for a few portraits…

Oh my goodness! I am in love with Amadeus!! So sweet.
<3 to Amadeus from another cavy slave!
Oh man, -please- give us a full story on this wedding. I want to see more of the dragon centerpieces. I am dragon obsessed, and our big fat geek wedding theme has a lot of lord of the rings and game of thrones to it.
Just some backstory here: while we’re clear on our submissions page that we always prefer to get a full wedding profile submitted by the couple themselves (because we know you guys LOVE knowing the full story!), we do accept submissions from photographers as well… and sometimes the couples featured don’t read Offbeat Bride or even know we exist. In the case of these vendor-submitted weddings, what you see here is all we’ve gotten… and we think having some lovely photos to share is better than nothing at all. 🙂
How freakin’ cute is that grass picture?! Love it.
Of course this wedding was at Hampshire. Of course!
Holy mother of god that’s an amazing ring. I would wear that forever.
LOVE this! I’m having my two rabbits around at the site of the wedding for logistics, and totally plan on having some photos with them! And no, they won’t be IN the wedding, that is TOO much stress on such animals. But LOVE this piggie!
This is soooooooo gorgeous! I super love the dragon cupcake toppers and their ring shot! This is the first time I’ve seen a wedding inspired by a TV Series! Love it! Love it! Love it! Love it! Love it!
Hi! This is my wedding from last summer. Our photographer submitted the photos. He is amazing by the way!
We bought the dragons mostly from Michaels and a local toy store. My husband found them all. He designed and executed the whole thing really. I would just mention that it would be cool if we had this or that and he made it happen. Also my maid of honor did an amazing job making our banners.
What can I say, it was a perfect day and I loved every minute of it!
