Sam and Zig wanted a big DIY event, but splurged on the things that were most important to them, like their epic yellow and white flowers. The color perfectly match the heat of the day (a heat index of 105F!). Just wait until you see their gorgeous ceremony arch. In lieu of a big formal reception, these two beer lovers had a dinner and a pub crawl through Philly as their ceremony after-party.

Hailing from Austin, TX, Amanda and Duncan planned their budget Brooklyn elopement to be both intimate (family only) yet also heavy on whimsical touches. After their ceremony at the Marriage Bureau, the group hightailed it to Brooklyn for a DIY brunch where the newlyweds themselves got busy arranging bagels and schmear, cheese and fruit platters, and flutes of champagne.

Lauren and Andrew did not want a traditional wedding in any sense of the word. Lauren’s vintage-style custom red dress was the first way we can tell that this couple did things their way and it WORKED. They chose to have a small wedding which meant they got to spend quality time with everyone there, a major goal.

There were sweet speeches, killer cocktails, sweet rustic details, and lots of wine.

Our theme was affordable moody goth-lite with nods to Halloween and heavy on the velvet. The wedding party were all in velvet jewel tones but were allowed to accessorize as they wished, which included spider brooches and skull pins for the boutonnieres. Each table was marked with a different horror icon and the hall was decorated with spider webs, pumpkins, gourds, and lanterns. The linens for the tables were orange and purple, very Halloween colors. There were Halloween-inspired cocktails served in blood bags and a black vegan cake…

Billy and Jenny actually got married in Ghana a few years ago, but between Billy living in Ghana and Jenny getting her PhD, there wasn’t much time to celebrate here in the States. Their wedding celebration day changed all of that. They invited a few of their closest friends and family here in the U.S. to the beautiful Glenview Mansion in Rockville for dinner, photos, art gallery views, and dancing. Just wait until you see Jenny’s fab multicolored dress!
