It's no secret that Offbeat Brides love Jonas Seaman. Our longtime, Seattle-based sponsor has shot TONS of your weddings in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Some of you have even flown him to Mexico and Alaska to make sure your wedding gets the Jonas treatment.
So while it's clear that you love the dude enough to drag him around the country, did you know that Jonas has lots of love for you guys as well?
I'm truly grateful for the community of people that have come to me through Offbeat Bride. I've had the opportunity to be present at the most amazing weddings with so many unique traditions and cultures. It's been a privilege to be asked to tell these stories for people. I love the couples who find me through Offbeat Bride! -Jonas
For those of you who DON'T know of the magic that is Jonas Seaman's wedding photography, let us educate you. Who knows, you just may be the next couple to fly him out to YOUR wedding…
Jonas' work is just gorgeous — I love to pause and just let my eyeballs soak in each of his images. He doesn't just capture beautiful shots — he captures beautiful moments in time that would have otherwise gone forgotten in the madness and energy that is your wedding day.
My friend and neighbor, Seattle cartoonist Ellen Forney, recently designed these sci-fi fabulous wedding invitations for a local couple, Michaela and Ryan. See, when Ellen's... Read more
I try to photograph each wedding the same way I would photograph my friends and family. I try to make it personal and tell the story of the day with a lot of love.
Another reason to love Jonas… he's super upfront with his starting price. Jonas' base wedding package also includes a ton of awesome for your buck:
- Day-of coverage
- A flash drive of all the high resolution finished images
- Color and black and white versions of each image
- A website with a slideshow
- And an online gallery of the entire collection
As I mentioned, Jonas is based in the Pacific Northwest — but he loves to travel for weddings. So far, he's booked weddings not only in Washington, but also in New York, Utah, California, Alaska, Montana, Louisiana, Virginia, Alabama, North Carolina, and Mexico! So where will he be shooting YOUR wedding?
If you're looking for a wedding photographer who will give you images unlike any other, and if you're looking for a wedding photographer who loves and treats his clients like friends, and if you're looking for a wedding photographer who's worth every freaking penny, you know where to look next.

Of note: we love Jonas so much that we totally asked him to be our photographer for a big party we threw: http://offbeatwed.com/2011/10/urban-light-studios-reception
Jonas shot our April 2013 wedding reception and we couldn’t be happier with the whole process. I love that the photos he captured are different from all the “typical wedding photos” I’ve seen–they look like special moments of our lives, not just one stereotypically airbrushed, pastel, overstaged day. He and his girlfriend, Mary (his second shooter), are the cat’s pajamas. If we can come up with an excuse to work with them again, oh hell yes, we will!
Oh man, his family sessions are so gorgeous, too:

Jonas shot our 2011 wedding on Orcas Island and I am grateful everyday for his artistry. My father recently passed away unexpectedly and thank god for Jonas’ amazing pictures from our wedding! He captured not just the day but love and memories if my Dad that I wouldn’t have had on film otherwise. We used many of his images at my Dads funeral and everyone marveled at how amazing they were. Forever grateful doesn’t even begin to express my gratitude. Thank You Jonas a million times over!!! And thank you Offbeat Bride for featuring him–because I found him here!! 🙂
Jonas killed it at our wedding. I’m a photographer myself so I don’t say this lightly (we almost didn’t have one). He was the best investment we made and we’ll be enjoying said investment for years and years to come. He got the mood, the feeling, the small moments and the character of those who came. I love those photos so much. Yay for amazing decisions and amazing photographers.
