Cultures merge at this Quaker ceremony meets Mexican fiesta wedding
Nora and Paco had a Quaker meets Mexico wedding at the school where Nora’s parents worked. Nora comes from Quaker roots and Paco was born and raised in Mexico, so the blend of these traditions was so interesting to see unfold. There was a traditional Quaker ceremony followed by a surprise Mariachi band that led guests to a Mexican fiesta complete with a fab taco bar and music. Once the Mariachi band departed, a folk band came in to lead everyone in traditional square dancing.

This edgy wedding inspiration is like something out of an industrial dream. The softness of the bride’s black and white crochet dress highlighted her amazing ink, but then the second mirrored dress? DIVINE. Plus, everything had a very organic meets geometric vibe that I just loved. Chelsea and Ronan managed to combine cultures, fandoms, traditions, and a seriously good time into their Navajo Irish mountain wedding in Arizona. From the lightsaber duel to the travel-themed decor to the Celtic handfasting, this was a fabulous melding of everything they are.
Heroes in love: a comic book themed microwedding in Chicago
Marcus and Rigo are comic book super fans and it showed in their spectacular comic book themed microwedding. There were loads of DIYed details like the paper flowers, table runners, and centerpieces all made from comic book pages. Even their programs had a caricature illustration done of the two of them to look like a comic book cover. Don’t miss the superhero-themed sweets table, taco bar buffet (with rosemart margaritas!), and their unity margarita ceremony.
DIY for days at this laid-back Pennsylvania wedding on a working farm
Molly and Clement’s amazing laid-back Pennsylvania wedding was at a working farm, Mountain Dale farm in Central Pennsylvania. It was a full-on DIYed event with decor make by Molly, found from thrift stores and exchanges. Think flag garlands, silk flower garlands, old map signs, and real flowers provided by friends and family. Don’t miss the “event barn” that featured knickknacks, old furniture, the DIYed photo booth, and so much more.
