Give your guests a budget-friendly favor with a geeky twist
You may remember Andrea and Steve’s Mario-themed wedding for geek-lovers everywhere. But did you also notice the totally appropriate mini cactus favors they had? Cacti are a match for Mario and frankly, LOTS of wedding themes (and non-themes)!
A golden sunset wedding in Malibu
Monique was a soon-to-be mama and, along with partner Deronn, planned this fabulous party in only three months! They chose The Sunset Restaurant in Malibu, which totally highlights the shoreline (where they decided to have the ceremony!) and naturally, the luminous sunset. Talk about the Golden Hour — more like the Golden Entire Evening!
A flowery statement headpiece from Angelica Brigade
If you recall this wedding, you know that the bride, Joyz, is the master of chic drama. Her headpiece was the icing on the cake that was this luscious celebration. And now her accessory creations from [vendor-heart link="http://vendors.offbeatwed.com/listing/angelica-brigade"]Angelica Brigade[/vendor-heart] are available for you to snag for your own dramatic ensemble, including this silk-blend shantung clip.
Let your absent loved ones walk you down the aisle
Photo memorials attached to your bouquet is one our our reader favorites for making sure loved ones are represented at the ceremony. I spied this little twist on Post Secret recently: the photos are attached to the bride’s shoes so they they are “walked” down the aisle.
Ribbons, soccer, and mimes at this destination wedding in New Orleans
These Chicago teachers decided on a small destination wedding in New Orleans (one of their favorite places after vacationing there!). With Washington Square Park in Marginy as the backdrop, they incorporated their favorite things: animal masks, floral prints, pastel ribbons, M&Ms with cat faces printed on them(!), and 30 of their nearest and dearest.
Star bouquets, ray guns, and a moon landing cake
Trish and Al took the Wayback Machine back to childhood for a wild day playing in the snow, posing with their wedding crew, and of course, getting married! Plus, who can resist a bride in glittery Converse, leg warmers, a cape, hot pink crinoline, and a star bouquet? The reception looked out of control with a space theme including robots, ray guns, astronauts and superheroes (and Doctor Who!) photo booth, and their hilarious moon landing cake. Like their favors said: “it was a blast!”
