A “getting legalled” wedding sequel at the San Francisco Pride Parade
You might remember Meghan and Anne’s super fun log-cabin bagpipe-y wedding from a few years ago. And although they totally respected their wedding as, well, their wedding, they also wanted to take advantage of the benefits of getting legalled! So, right after the San Francisco Pride Parade in June, after they had finished playing with their bagpipe band, they headed over to City Hall to do the deed in all their parade finery.
How early is too early: When can you start using your married name?
My surname now is ridiculously common. Googling me is a waste of time. There are zillions of us. After I get married, though, my last name is going to much more unusual. My school will be taking away my email address, and I’m going to sign up for a gmail account — can I put my new surname on it and start using it, or do I update everyone’s info again in six months after my wedding? What something I’ve submitted for publication gets accepted? Can I put my new name on that? How about my website?
Jill & Blair’s small beach wedding with a pregnant bride
Hello, gorgeous beach wedding with a glowing bride and mohawked groom. Add in a LEGO cake, an adorably funny dad officiant, and a grandma who is pro at the “queen’s wave,” and you’ll be smitten with this one. Oh, and you will love the impromptu vows shared the day AFTER the wedding.
Paula & Brian’s Old Hollywood glam wedding
Live music, a wedding singer, and some retro glam make this wedding fabulous. And when you hear what went in to the pre-owned couture dress, you’ll have a new appreciation for all that beading! Add in a veggie feast, a wine box ceremony, and a sweet favorite song moment shared with the father of the bride, and you’ll swoon.
How do I STOP planning the wedding?
Most of my wedding planning is done. There’s not much left really, except the minor things that will get wrapped up right before… but I feel like there is so much left to do and keep getting the urge to add more, and more! I try to remind myself that we are on a budget and what we got already is fine… but then why do I want to add, for instance, photos/or/drawings of us around the venue? I am stuck in bridal over-planning mode! How do I STOP organizing and planning and take a step back? Is this just feeling that will linger until the final days where I can actually SEE things come together?
Becca & Justin’s butterflies and dragons fantasy wedding
Butterflies, dragons, and cloud canopies, oh my! Yep, we said a cloud canopy… that actually lit up like a cloud! That and the bride’s amazing monarch butterfly bouquet is only two pieces of the gorgeous puzzle that makes up this wedding. You’ll also want to see the leaf guestbook, wedding mascot giveaway, and the fantasy geek soundtrack of your dreams.
