Remember when I introduced you to my new bff, the balloon bouquet? Well, one awesome couple put them in action at their carnival-themed wedding! Their photographer Outer Focus Photos described the wedding as “sort of carnivale-meets-Burning Man.”
Mark and Tara got married in a weekend-long, redwood forest campground extravaganza in Guerneville, CA. I love how the wedding’s officiant dressed in circus ring master garb!
The wedding party pictures are probably my favorites of all time. Formal portraits were shot at a nearby abandoned and decaying amusement park.
Their reception was where it got even cooler. Guests wore tiny hats, clown make-up, and lots of faux fur. Belly dancers served up the couple’s first shot of whiskey as husband and wife and several fire spinners performed after dark.

Question!
I noticed that you had fire spinners at your wedding. My fiance and i are planning on having some of our friends spin fire at our reception and we are looking into having it at a campground or fairground. Did your venue show any resistance towards having fire performers? Did you have to provide any sort of paperwork showing that they are fully insured and safe, etc?
