Okay, we know the backdrops in this shoot are stunning, but we can’t bypass the utterly GORGEOUS black dress Kristin donned for the occasion. What can we say… we love a black wedding dress! This one included a striking black satin corset with a dramatic tulle overskirt. Kristin finished the look with a chunky statement necklace, dark-hued boho florals, and purple hiking boots – perfect for their adventurous and spunky vibe! Oliver complemented Kristin’s outfit beautifully in a black tux with purple accents to match his bride's vibrant rainbow locks (which look incredible against the snowy Alaskan wilderness, by the way).

This styled shoot is not for the faint of heart (or anyone afraid of heights)! The shoot unfolded across two days – both filled to the brim with adventure. Day one started at a lakeside cabin but quickly moved beyond that cozy feeling with a thrilling UTV machine excursion up a mountain pass. From alpine lakes to high mountain meadows adorned with wild blueberries, our UTV guide helped MAKE / Adventure Stories Photography pick each location carefully, in order to highlight the diversity of Alaska's landscapes.

Day two consisted of a multi-stop helicopter tour around a glacier. Both blue glacial melt pools and a high mountain lake proved to be the perfect backdrops for vows – so why only pick one? We love how this styled shoot really took advantage of the diversity of backdrops available, thanks to the sheer majesty of the Alaskan wilderness. It’s pretty hard to lug a cake around a two-day adventure across the Alaskan wilderness, but MAKE / Adventure Stories Photography had a creative workaround that made for some pretty adorable photos: macarons! Their vibrant colors and portable nature made them the perfect dessert for this adventurous styled shoot. This is a serious elopement wedding hack!
