How I cater to offbeat weddings

We are Eric (he/him) and Amber (she/her), a husband and wife wedding photography team who met at a wedding networking event as we each had our own photography business. After being friends for a month we knew it was so much more and started dating then moved in together then got married. We live in SE Portland and love walking our dog around the neighborhood and enjoying the fresh air.

We celebrate all LOVE and strive to be inclusive and make all feel welcomed. I (amber) is plus sized and when I was looking for vendors for photographers for my wedding, I noticed that not many people had any photos of people over size 6 and I was so worried they would not know how to make us feel great on the day. I got lucky and my friend came out of retirement to shoot our micro wedding. I knew I wanted to ensure that all people felt welcomed when looking at our website and they felt safe with us. We support LGBTQ 1000% and our contracts says client #1 and client #2. To us you’re not just another wedding but an amazing couple who we are lucky enough to tell your story through photos.

Amber and Eric are good, fun people and we were very pleased with their work! They were prepared and knew the layout of my wedding venue beforehand. Even though I was running behind schedule, they used that time very efficiently and took photos of the reception/decorations. My family was pleased that Amber and Eric were able to complete the family photo session very quickly and took almost no time from the reception festivities. Our pictures are beautiful and Amber and Eric were able to make us feel comfortable and photogenic. I'm glad they were a part of our day and would choose them again for other occasions! -M.S
