Here in the U.S. we’re celebrating Thanksgiving today. Lots of countries have a version of this holiday: Canada and Grenada’s in October, Liberia’s earlier this month, and the Netherlands shares our date. Do you have any source for this? I’ve lived in the Netherlands all my life and have never heard of a Thanksgiving holiday here, it’s purely a North American phenomenon for this. Very curious where this comes from…
Ooh, I may have misrepresented that then. Wikipedia says there is a Thanksgiving service held in the Pieterskerk, but it must just be there. Updating that, thanks! 🙂
