Papier mache centerpieces, fairy wings, and some awesome cake cuttings
Tribesmaid Remi crafted these epic papier mache chess pieces with her groom the summer before they got engaged. She says, “We’re not even that into chess, but after spending 100+ man-hours making them, they seemed like the perfect centerpieces.” This week’s reader submissions also bring us some playground fun, a family cake cutting, a not-so-family cake cutting, and a couple clad in fairy wings and a cape.
The “Tie the Knot Festival” wedding weekend
As lovers of festivals of all types, Cath and Cyrus crafted their “Tie the Knot Festival” for a whole weekend of craziness and awesome events. Angelica Peady Photography was there to capture the ceremony, reception, and after party.
Jessica & Eric’s West Coast music festival-meets-traditional wedding
A gown with gorgeous plumage, winged children, naughty ring bearers, and a leg lamp cake that actually lit up! If that isn’t enough to grab you, there were scantily clad performers covered in food. WUT! Oh, and see if you can spy a certain Offbeat Bride staffer among the guests. OH: there is also a slightly NSFW photo. Be warned (and titillated).
