Let’s talk about the “perfect” wedding. Why do we all hear (and use) this term for everything when we plan a wedding? It wasn’t until I was re-watching the first season of Game of Thrones that I caught just how dumb it sounds.

They wove their fandoms into a delightfully geeky tapestry, including decorating in Lannister red and yellow, hanging banners with iconography from the films and TV shows, and using blue and purple dragons as tabletop decor. Elise even donned a knee-length Lannister red wedding gown!
A Damn Fine Wedding: Megan & Jason’s Twin Peaks wedding
If you’re a fan of the ’90s television show Twin Peaks, this wedding will totally get you jonesing to marathon it! The couple had ceremony readings from the show, a “Miss Twin Peaks” photo booth backdrop, Double R Diner coffee cups, and a replica of Dale Cooper’s tape recorder. You’ll also flip for the bride’s red crinoline and gorgeous cocktail hat!
What Gilmore Girls can teach us about proposals
I recently watched the Gilmore Girls episodes where Lorelai is proposed to by Max, twice. Once is half-jokingly, to which she responds that a proposal should be romantic with horses and daisies. It made me realize that, over the years, I’ve had quite a jaded understanding of proposals.
