A “Love Wins”-themed playful Oregon wedding (with pizza and toys!)

Two brides, a kilt, a chic pants outfit, and so many playful details: this sweet Oregon wedding at McMenamins is making our life. Jeweled peacocks and gourmet donuts at this Portland meets India wedding

Following a month-long trip and a traditional wedding in India, Jess and Chintan returned home to Portland, Oregon for a low key, small, and simple wedding with friends that took place on April Fool’s Day. The day began with a civil ceremony at Multnomah County Courthouse where the judge was gifted with a custom cake by Dream Cakes. Jessica rocked a custom-made gown, gold Loubotins, and gold sequin Converse for the reception.

After taking a romantic pedicab tour around the city, they returned home to their newly built house with their friends and family for treats from Voodoo Donuts and Poplandia popcorn following a dinner of sweet and savory grilled sandwiches from local food trucks, PBJ’s Grilled and Koi Fusion. It was delicious, gorgeous, and a total fusion of their favorite things.

Vintage goblets and accessories on the bar cart, a red velvet couch with a gold backdrop, rich, dramatic florals, and a lush rug to create a luxe sitting area — this jewel-toned cocktail reception styled shoot with Jessica and David totally captures the essence of bright colors. David’s suit was custom-made for him in Thailand, and the personalized invitation suite was hand-painted by the photographer, who is also an artist (holy talent, Batman!).

Let’s ogle the rich colors and puppy cuddles and be inspired, my friends…

Gold crowns, purple hair, and tears galore at this Oregon schoolhouse wedding

HK and Josh planned a small ceremony at one of their favorite places, Historic Soap Creek Schoolhouse followed by a reception at LUC restaurant. Almost every aspect of their day was handmade and crafted by themselves or their community, including vegan treats, decorations, bouquet, boutonniere, cake, table settings, party favors, and floral arrangements. You’re definitely going to want to see the gold crown + purple hair, the tearful first look, the tearful ceremony entrance, and well tears all around all the time.

Ring Pops, donuts, and ladies in love at this Voodoo Donuts wedding

Natya and Kris had a small but kick-ass ceremony at the famous Voodoo Donuts in Portland, OR. There were, as always, about 20 people in line at the store and many more outside along the sidewalk. This meant that there were tons of onlookers, many of whom only just realized there was a tiny wedding happening.
There were gorgeous photos out by the waterfront, a sweet (literally and figuratively!) donut-filled ceremony with Ring Pop rings, and a gorgeous pair of ladies in love. Let’s take a peek at this Voodoo Donuts wedding…

Mass Effect meets Star Trek at this theatrical science wedding

Want to see what you’d get if you combined a love of sci-fi, handmade costumes derived from characters in Star Trek and Mass Effect, and a movie theater venue? You’d have this theatrical science wedding with awesome visuals, amazing sci-fi readings, and a team of “Squadmates.” Though they may have run into some technical issues at the ceremony, it was all worth it for the groom’s grandmother’s comment: “Weddings keep getting weirder.” Hell yes, they do!
