Don’t miss the fashion at this colorful queer Caribbean-vibes wedding
On their ninth anniversary, Neish and Tish tied the knot exactly as they wanted to: in a low-key queer-love celebration, full of color and easy-going Caribbean vibes. Hailing from Jamaica and Trinidad, the couple knew their wedding garb had to have a pop of color. The bride’s red wedding dress played off the groom’s red bowtie and pocket square, and in a reversal of tradition, it was the groom who wore head-to-toe white.
This NY to Mexico globetrotting photographer is ready to capture all of the moments you never saw coming
When I think of a killer set of wedding photos, I sometimes don’t even want to see “WEDDING” all over it. I want to see amazing candids of old friends, tiny moments of ring bearers going rogue, tears in the groom’s eyes as he waits at the ceremony, and above all, an AMAZING story told in images. When I think of getting that amazing story? I think of Celia at The Lovely Lens. Here’s why Celia is ALL about the moments and not the stuffiness…

Funky instruments & muted flowers at this dark and eclectic inspiration shoot at an old Brooklyn theater
I love how this inspiration shoot combines the traditional with the ultra eclectic, which seems to really reflect what’s happening in offbeat weddings right now. We’re all about embracing traditions we feel resonate and tossing out what doesn’t. The best part of this shoot for me was the venue: a dusty old theater in Red Hook, Brooklyn, called the Jalopy Theater. Think tons of funky instruments, dark and shadowy corners, and a wedding vibes that totally matches.
Beards, bratwursts, beer: a NYC biergarten wedding
Laura and Doug’s NYC biergarten wedding had beards, bratwurst, and beer — a triple threat of awesomeness. The groom and his crew all sported beards (which should thrill a few of you pogonophiles!).
