Candy, skulls, and horror movie props: Sounds like it’s Halloween on Offbeat Bride
One of my favorite things about Halloween is the candy; you can just imagine how excited I got over Offbeat Bride Leslie’s Halloween lollipop bouquet. The bouquet was made from lollipops bought at Candy Warehouse, the sticks are covered in pretty printed tapes. There’s more wedding candy, and dark Halloween-themed fun where that came from in this special Halloween week reader round-up!
Jennifer & Brian’s vintage Halloween-infused October wedding
The bouquets were made from pages of Edgar Allan Poe, Stephen King, and Red Riding Hood. The cake topper was a miniature zombie family. The place cards were actual TOE TAGS! And then… in classic horror movie style, all the lights went out during the reception! It wasn’t intentional, but that is one way to spook out your guests at a Halloween wedding. Just wait until you see what movie prop they used as a guest book!
Kristen & Jet’s zombie-infused Elvira-loving NYC Hallowedding
This one is going to be right on the money for you couples planning Halloween weddings right now. We’ve got two ladies celebrating their favorite holiday, a black ribbon veil, amazing black pumpkin bouquet, and of course, Central Park in New York City! Plus, they had The Reverend D (rad Offbeat Bride vendor) officiate dressed as ELVIRA! And there may have been a wedding crashing zombie in attendance as well.
Chloe & Rudy’s chic goth historic mansion wedding
Let’s talk about the fashion going on here: black lace, Doc Martens, brocade tail coat, leather harness, and spiked Jeffrey Campbells — it’s a gothic wonderland of noir chic. Add in the backdrop of a haunted historic mansion and all the spiders, skulls, and pumpkins you could ask for on a dark night, and you’ve got this elegant affair (with Offbeat Bride vendor The Reverend D at the ceremony helm!).
Reader round-up: Dinos, cakes, hoops, and dresses that’ll make you say WHOA!
Once again, it’s time to round-up our latest reader photos. This week we had things submitted to us via our Flickr pool and Instagram. (Did you know you can now tag us @offbeatbride on Instragram to be considered for a feature in our reader roundups?) That’s exactly how Offbeat Bride reader Amelia got me to see her, her new husband, and their new dino friend on their wedding day! Now let’s look at MORE adorable photos of our wonderful readers…
