Ditch the photo guest book and ask your artistic guests to draw self-portraits
We went into an art store and came across a photography-themed journal filled with illustrations of cameras, photo-taking paraphernalia, and blank “frames.” It gave us the idea to ask our guests to draw self-portraits. We allowed lots of space for our guests (many of them artists) to fill it in with their artwork and signatures and colored Sharpies added to the fun.
Crystal & Denny’s rockabilly red and turquoise wedding
If falling in love is like owning a dog, these two took the leash and ran with it. Their ceremony honored their love for each other and their beloved pets. Their rockabilly sensibilities, with a Hard Rock Cafe backdrop, made for a very musically-inspired event, complete with guestbook guitar and fab playlist. All that, and an amazing red dress — wait til you see what’s under it!
Have your guests sign postcards as your guest book
One detail I loved from Lisa and Kevin’s garden party comfort food wedding (outside of their amazing menu!) was their postcard guest book.
Lauren & Tyler’s old time rock ‘n’ roll music madness wedding
Music was so interwoven into the fabric of this wedding. From their music venue to the guitar picks in the bride’s hair, the DIY record luminary centerpieces and the guestbook guitar, this couple rocked their wedding. Plus, their mis-matched bridesmaids not only out-shoed each other with some killer stilettos, but wait till you see their faces during the bouquet toss!
