These gamers rocked a music festival playlist vibe (& a Bioshock-themed first look!)
The theme was largely based on our mutual love of music and the love we have for our city, with a healthy amount of gamer touches. Our wedding website is themed after a festival website. My husband modeled our invite off of a vintage Beatles ticket. I decided that I was going to do a first look surprise and walk out to him a handmade Big Daddy head from Bioshock. Shout out to cosplayers because that was by far the most time consuming and stressful thing I ever made. Worth it.
Westeros meets lightsabers at this eclectic warehouse wedding
A warehouse venue, life-size skeletons, Stormtroopers, a freight elevator entrance filled with smoke — we are starry-eyed with the brilliance of Bridget and Anthony’s eclectic warehouse wedding at The Art Factory in Paterson, New Jersey. As the guests stepped off the freight elevator, they were greeted with a Game of Thrones-inspired champagne wall. They actually […]
Gaming hubs and a Cactuar toss at this eSports arena wedding
We had a very specific theme and vibe. Cynthia and I are huge nerds as we play a lot of games, watch anime, and read a lot of manga. We wanted our special day to reflect these interests and our planner, Two Perfect Events, helped us formulate what we wanted and generated awesome ideas. Our wedding was VERY unapologetically us. I love books and reading, my husband loves D&D and roleplaying, and we both love puzzles and escape rooms — so our wedding encompassed all of it. Everywhere we could infuse a bit of flavor to fit these themes, we did. From my bridesmaid's book-bouquets and the groomsmen's d20 boutonnieres, to our wedding arch made of repurposed books, to the actual puzzles guests could solve.
Star Wars, Star Trek, Tolkien, and more: A medley of geeky wedding themes at this Seattle wedding
Dorothy Ann and Matthew’s Seattle wedding was a happy melange of geeky wedding themes, from Star Trek and Star Wars to Tolkein and How to Train Your Dragon.
A geeky, fandom-themed wedding with a black and white gown (with a Darth Vader walk down the aisle!)
For two awesome humans who met at a zombie larp(!), they had the amazingly nerdy wedding you would expect and it was glorious. Each guest table was decorated with a different fandom, from Harry Potter to Dresden Files to Conan the Barbarian. Their card holder was a hand-made sarlacc pit (complete with little skeleton couple). Their cake was Star Wars and Alien-themed. Don’t miss Ashley’s black and white dress and black veil…
