Allison & Chris’ post-apocalyptic carnival 75 feet underground
First we’ve got midway games, fire performances, and balloon animals. Then there’s an underground cold war museum bunker, Fallout-themed decor, and post-apocalyptic catering. It’s a fusion of carnival and the apocalypse that we can totally get behind! That doesn’t even cover the fabulously redesigned heirloom dress and 3D-printed rings. And just wait until you see what happened with the helicopter ring delivery.
Bronwen & Lou’s homemade steampunk kid-friendly fire dancing wedding
Put on your goggles and your neo-Victorian gear, because this is STEAMPUNK WEEK! Today we’ve got a burner-meets-upcycled-meets-kid-friendly celebration including fire dancing, a community-planned potluck, and a sweet ceremony interruption by the couple’s little girl. It’s laid-back and free-form and we’re loving it!
Swords, fire spinning, and a little Monty Python
We’ve seen Jenni and Karen before at their queer Hindu vintage fashion wedding, and you know we are excited about this part deux that they submitted to the Flickr Pool! Red dress, red sari, gloves, bangles, and fire!
‘Stina & Graham’s DIY country ranch wedding
This pair tackled tons of DIY projects, battled some very inconsistent weather, and had to cater a party in the middle of the country. But you’d never know these were even challenges when you see the awesome Mexican catering, the cool ambiance (event producer groom FTW!), and the lovely weather. These photos give off one theme more than any other: FUN.
Katy Perry the Wedding Unicorn: she sneezes glitter, pees lemonade, and shoots pink fire
Our wedding featured a life-sized unicorn that sneezed glitter, peed lemonade, and shot pink fire. If that sounds more like the twisted fantasy of a six-year-old girl than a standard wedding item… well, that’s just how we roll. You haven’t lived until you’ve seen a bride dispensing lemonade from a unicorn’s genitals.
JR & Mike’s spontaneous steampunk wedding
Lovers of steampunk, handmade dresses, and crazy DIYed weddings: unite! This wedding is for you. Everything about this party was crafted by the couple and their friends, even when unexpected changes forced them to move venues. Wait until you see the fire spinners, an amazing “bouquet,” and the groom’s chain mail.
