A unicorn wedding with burning love on the playa
Two weddings: one backyard poolside shindig followed by a Burning Man, unicorn-themed wedding on the playa. Though they may have run into issues with their officiant, making the ceremony… unique, the artwork, vows, and awesome costumes make up for it like whoa. Liz and Tony’s wedding inspiration came from trips and involvement in the Burning Man community where they met some of their closest friends. Some of our favorite parts were their customized outfits in teal and green with octopus light-up umbrellas, and their reception with fire dancers, fire sculptures, and a ring nest complete with robin’s eggs. Liz’s dress featured loads of tentacles and a corset made from shattered pieces of mirrored glass. You’ll absolutely want to see the whole shebang.

You guys, we know a good pirate wedding when we see one, and this one brings the house down with its Caribbean locale, amazingly detailed costumes, ACTUAL SWORD FIGHT at the ceremony, super well-crafted pirate-themed decor (including treasure chests), cardboard cut-outs, fire spinners, drunken video guest book, pirate-themed scavenger hunt, and my favorite father/daughter walk down the aisle yet.

Steampunk and burner couples: do you want to incorporate what you love in a conservative-friendly way? This wedding is the perfect model. Don’t miss the copper pipe centerpieces, copper table numbers, cog-shaped favors made of seed paper, steampunk customized Nerf guns and foamboard props for the photobooth, and the amazing cake topper.
