The theme for our wedding was fun, funky, and colorful. We’ve always liked to do things in a non-traditional way and we knew our wedding would be no different! Much like our home, we wanted to incorporate lots of color, and keep things happy, bright, and not too serious.
A New York City hall wedding with chic roaring ’20s Chinatown reception
Rachel and Tim started their day with some portraits that celebrated the city they love, New York City, with a panoramic view on top of The James Hotel. Then it was off to New York City Hall for the ceremony in their chic and retro-inspired outfits. That alone is eye candy galore, but it gets even better!
For their reception the next day, it was all about Gatsby bliss for 75 guests at Jing Fong in Chinatown. Think flapper dresses, peacock headpieces, a knockout cake, and delicious dim sum.

New Yorkers Rebecca and Jeff were both looking for a wedding that was low-key, romantic, and fun. This turned into one of our favorite kinds of weddings: an intimate ceremony at City Hall, a pit stop at the bride’s mother’s home for a champagne toast and cuddle with their dog, and on over to their neighborhood slice joint. They ate pepperoni pie at the legendary Joe’s on Bleecker Street, complete with “cake” topper, of course. They finished off the day by carving their names for eternity into the wooden booth with a butter knife (a 100% restaurant-sanctioned activity). This was way more than just a pizza party.
