A laid-back cliff-side wedding in British Columbia
There’s something so laid-back and relaxing about Emily and Vicki’s cliff-side wedding at Eagles Nest Retreat in Galiano Island, British Columbia. Maybe it’s how everyone looks so chill and goofy-happy (and they’re wearing flip-flops, popping corks, and dranking blue cocktails!). They also gave out homemade wine as wedding favors, because they know what the people want. Butterfly Photography was there to capture all their giggly goodness.
Kim & Cole’s barn and bonfire wedding
We spied this most excellently dressed wedding party recently and were totally hoping to see the full wedding story. Thankfully, Kim and Cole obliged. Get ready for a seriously chic venue with their added DIY fabulousness (like a sweet DIY photo booth and wine cork chandelier!), and two of the most dapper-as-hell brides we’ve ever seen.
Casual carnival madness and an interactive ring warming
Meg and Carrie hosted a casual carnival-themed wedding in Meg’s parent’s backyard in New Hampshire, proving that backyard weddings can be kick-ass for budget and scenery. (Seriously, the greenery is making me long for warmer weather!) Plus, they put a really fun spin on a ring warming ceremony by making it “interactive.” Read on to see how they did it.
Two brides, two officiants, and a glowing garden wedding
Whitney and Marley had two officiants to wrangle their interfaith (Jewish and Christian) ceremony in Sequim, WA. They had both communion and Kiddush amongst what has to be one of the most beautiful locales in the history of me seeing things. The brides were just chilling in the lush gardens of The Cutting Garden during the golden hour, and it makes me want to roll around in the grass like a puppy first discovering the backyard.
