Becky & Shannon’s Southern music and paper flowers wedding
This singer/pianist duo loves performing and it totally shows in this musical wedding in a theater. We’re talking sheet music flowers, treble heart cake toppers, super professional-looking, and headshots of the “wedding cast.” But my favorite part of all is that they had MUSICAL VOWS! You’ve gotta see how they did it. Plus, if you’ve ever had a problem finding something dapper and non-dressy to wear to your lesbian wedding, you may have a… “semi-butch quandary!”
Pinwheels, sunshine, and a flash mob dance at this San Diego wedding
Carrie and Alynn created one of those idyllic days where everything seems to glow with love (and a fabulous blue sky day in San Diego never hurts!). From the pinwheel-lined path and bluegrass rendition of “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perry, the ceremony is one sweet moment after another. They celebrated their respective faiths, Christianity and Buddhism, and included a handfasting with ribbons tied by their mothers.
Kristen & Jet’s zombie-infused Elvira-loving NYC Hallowedding
This one is going to be right on the money for you couples planning Halloween weddings right now. We’ve got two ladies celebrating their favorite holiday, a black ribbon veil, amazing black pumpkin bouquet, and of course, Central Park in New York City! Plus, they had The Reverend D (rad Offbeat Bride vendor) officiate dressed as ELVIRA! And there may have been a wedding crashing zombie in attendance as well.
Casual carnival madness and an interactive ring warming
Meg and Carrie hosted a casual carnival-themed wedding in Meg’s parent’s backyard in New Hampshire, proving that backyard weddings can be kick-ass for budget and scenery. (Seriously, the greenery is making me long for warmer weather!) Plus, they put a really fun spin on a ring warming ceremony by making it “interactive.” Read on to see how they did it.
