Check out the black wedding cake at this elegant Sleepy Hollow gothic wedding shoot

A team of vendors conjured the idea of a dream wedding over drinks at a local mixer: something full of dark elegance and mystery, centered around a lovely couple they had in mind. Cillia of Marion Matrimony Events proposed the idea of a Sleepy Hollow Wedding, and everyone was on board!

Devils River Distillery was the easy favorite for an inspired gothic wedding shoot, with bourbon-infused desserts and a whiskey tower (instead of a champagne wall), all marinated in purples, dark oranges, black, and gold. Black wedding dress paired with a floral back tattoo? A gorgeous black wedding cake with gold accents and flowers? Oh my Goth, YES. Halloween wedding folks, get ready for some serious inspiration.

Let's dive in! Here we are in the green room, where models Frankie and Kim are getting prepped for the shoot. We're in awe of the expert artistry at work here for the floral back tattoo:

Meanwhile, we're loving the contrast of the white suit with the rich, dark color palette of the boutonnière:

They could not have picked a better venue than Devils River for this gothic celebration — all old, polished woods and tall ceilings with crystal chandeliers:

And we're off! Here's the first half of the happy couple, instantly owning the entire room in a classic white tuxedo and plenty of sass:

LOOK at that perfect floral tattoo now at centerstage, delicately meandering across their back as if growing from the black lace that frames it:

A better view of the bar-as-altar. Besides the darkly glamorous couple (how much do you love the contrast of that black lace wedding dress and the white suit!?), note the deep purples of the wedding party's attire and florals:

Time for a toast! Here's the aforementioned whiskey tower, each glass with a decorative hanging name tag.

Every angle of the distillery seems to deliver a perfect backdrop of dark elegance. Here we have the couple sampling some whiskey-infused treats while the guests look on:

We're a big fan of small, easy-to-eat reception treats to help avoid spills on yourself and your loved ones. Having everything be finger food and/or with its own cup means you can avoid having to provide individual plates that would otherwise take up precious tablescape:

Speaking of desserts, behold this luscious black and gold cake from Exclusive Cake Shop, framed by some of the shiny brass mechanicals used to make the whiskey at the distillery.

An obvious benefit of getting married in a distillery: PERFECT DRINK OPPORTUNITIES.

Let's turn our attentions to the spot-on table decorations for a moment – ghostly trees, tawny goblets, and place cards fastened to dried fruit:

Time to find the garter! And goodness, those black heels…

Our favorite moment of the whole dark gorgeous affair is, ironically, the couple's first dance on heavenly clouds! This is the sort of photo moment your guests will absolutely freak about:

It's a wrap! We love the down-to-earth feel of this capture outside the venue – an elegant couple in a seemingly ordinary world, made magic by what we've seen just beyond the door.
