Gotham city wedding party? This line of formal superhero fashion is killing it with geek chic

We already know Hot Topic is a bastion of geek and fandom wear, and now they’re branching hardcore into formal wear. Maybe you’re going full-on Batman-themed wedding party or just a subtle Batman reference in the groom’s vest? Either way, a little Dark Knight in your wedding can never go amiss.

High fantasy meets a handmade gown at this treehouse camp wedding

Tierra and Bradley got married at The Treehouse Camp at Maple Tree Campground, a Maryland venue with an ACTUAL HOBBIT HOLE. The guests came in fabulous garb, but nothing compares to the bride’s gown that she designed her damn self. She bought the amazing corset and then crafted the leaf-adorned tulle skirt to match. Okay, technically, this was the maid of honor’s bouquet, but who wouldn’t want this to get a little of the spotlight?

A frostbitten Canadian national park elopement (with bison!)

Bri and Dale had a whirlwind winter elopement at Riding Mountain National Park, followed by a reception a few months later. Manitoba in February isn't when most people would plan an outdoor wedding, but then they wouldn't get to have snow-covered bison as their special guests!

A fandom welcome sign that steals our geeky hearts

A fandom welcome sign that steals our geeky hearts

One element that managed to combine all of these fandoms and movies into one was their ceremony welcome sign. It paid homage to all kinds of book and movie couples (both romantic and platonic): Lupin and Tonks, Cas and Dean, Arthur and Merlin, Westley and Buttercup, Angel and Buffy (ahem, shouldn’t this be Spike?), SLOTH AND CHUNK(!), and Carl and Ellie.
