April and Kyle's wedding was the first ever ceremony and reception to take place at the Music Box Village. The Music Box Village space is an open-aired arrangement of unique pieces of musical architecture — shacks and structures designed to make a variety of sounds — accompanied by the performers' instruments and women dancers from Dancing Grounds and is completely outdoors.
Keeping the venue true to its intent, they decor was super simple, using elephant ears for centerpieces, and customized Mexican flags that included the couple names and wedding date to incorporate April's Mexican heritage.
The guests were treated to a New Orleans crawfish boil for cocktail hour and tacos and red beans and rice for dinner, April and Kyle's favorites when they go to NoLA. As the nine-year-old DJ hit play on the iPad, the couple danced their first dance and it was all party all the time from then on…
