At our zoo wedding in Baton Rouge, we had a blue and purple color scheme with some Star Wars touches here and there, including a Han and Leia cake topper.
We also had a selection of animal ambassadors during the reception, for a touch of the wild side.
Jacqueline and William’s moon and stars-themed wedding sent us into the galaxy when we saw it. But their meet-cute story is on a whole other level. Just wait until you hear how her galaxy dress went from conversation starter to fab wedding garb. Hear the story straight from this gorgeous bride (the owner of Pinup Pixie Boutique, the first black-owned pinup boutique in Louisiana, by the way!).
We’re from California, so having the wedding in New Orleans was a destination for us and all of our guests. We wanted everything to be classic New Orleans… With some Star Wars and LEGO tossed in!
Gabrielle and Mark’s dark-spring romantic and gothic-inspired wedding day takes the saying “Until death do us part” to another level. Gabrielle began the day getting ready with her crew at Turning Point Tattoos, where Mark is a resident tattoo artist.
Overtones of rich red and dark wood were featured, while light sprigs of greenery and baby’s breath balanced the vivid colors. This wedding was so full of thoughtful touches and unconventional DIY details. Let’s see the whole thing…
Kim and Jen, in their matching (but differently colored!) dresses, rocked a sentimental and super sweet wedding on Jennifer’s family farm in Louisiana.
Their reception was held at The Cabin in Darrow, and after their first dance, Jennifer sneaked off to change into a T-Rex costume to surprise everyone. The Anteeks kept the dance floor hopping the whole night.
If there’s anything that gets my tear ducts going, it’s watching couples get emotional. And this gorgeous wedding in Baton Rouge, Louisiana wedding had tears walking down the aisle, during the dancing, and pretty much all over my keyboard. It was sweet and sincere and made us all swoon.
Don’t miss the wine ceremony, the lovely dances, and the crowed tearing up the dance floor…
