I recently went to a big food festival featuring the best restaurants in LA. Because it was a festival, all the bites were of the finger food variety. And, because of my job, I couldn’t help but think “these would be great at a wedding!”

This Game of Thrones wedding cake deserves to sit on the Iron Throne
We’ve seen some epic Game of Thrones wedding cakes before, but the artistry in this one… well, it takes the cake. Yep, I went there. It features the map of Westeros, silver dragon scales, gears and house sigils, a GORGEOUS Iron Throne, crowns, and a sword at the top. Is this your Game of Thrones wedding dream cake or what?

I spied this amazing wood grain cake at the wedding of Jalyn and Andrew at Alderbrook Inn and Resort in Union, WA. They had a rustic forest theme with pine cones, slices of logs, bundled wood place cards, and of course, this cake made to look like wood grain. It as like a fancy camp-out in the woods, all at their fingertips.

Up your carnival-theme game: get a cotton candy machine!
So this idea works for carnival weddings, that’s a given. But really? ANY WEDDING can rock a cotton candy machine. Your sweets table, candy bar, and dessert spread is instantly that much awesome-er with the addition of delicious, fluffy, happy-inducing candy floss. I mean, just look at the faces on these kids at Christina and Michael’s carnival wedding (with Elvis officiant!). Those are some blissed-out sugar-fiends.

This LA Mattel toy-themed wedding slayed us with fun details like the bride’s green dress, the vegetable centerpieces, and the toy decor. But one feature we were drooling over was their liquid nitrogen ice cream bar.

Jenn and David’s super color wedding had so many awesome details that Lisa Frank would love: rainbow pom-poms, purple hair, and even a professional beat boxer!
