Feed your inner Rainbow Brite with this happy cloud manicure
My inner Rainbow Brite is squeeing over this manicure. Plus, compared to some manicures (I’m looking at you, swirly!), this one looks very doable. Camille at Pshiiit.com even created this awesome little animated tutorial, which is exactly what I need when it comes to nails: elementary hand-holding for the ham-fisted.
A 1930s garden party that you won’t believe took place in 2013
Ashley and Robert had that idea that they’d plan an authentic 1930s-styled garden party. The nail’s head was hit so hard, the nail died. The affair was held at a 1907 Tudor mansion in Highland Park, CA, with a 1935 Packard sedan to deliver the bride. The groom and groomsmen wore 1930s-era morning attire with top hats, while the bridesmaids were clad in couture organza gowns created by Ashley’s good friend and bridesmaid, Theresa Laquey. The bride’s out-of-this-universe dress is actual 1930s vintage from eBay. To top it all off, the catering was based on actual recipes from a 1930s cookbook. Everything about this makes me want to blow my wig… blink my peepers… be dizzy with these dames… and basically blurt out a lot of 1930s slang.
A spontaneous, planned-that-day elopement on the beach
Sume and Crystal didn’t want to wait any longer to say their vows and get right to living and loving together forever, so they decided to get married that very day! Give us marriage RIGHT MEOW! And with the help of a close friend, an obliging beach with some pretty epic damned scenery, and Jennifer Dery Photography, the deed was done. They kissed, they played, they snuggled, and they got themselves eloped at Hotel del Coronado in Coronado, California.
Bitty Kewpie dolls, a tiny love note, and huge love for this wedding
Lauren’s dress is sexy as hell, but have you seen what Brandin is wearing? Lay it on me, pink and tartan! Their wedding also had the ultimate-traditional-fun-combo of jumping the broom and a rockin’ hora. And wait until you see their Kewpie doll cake toppers canoodling under a mini chuppah. On top of it all is the sweetest, tiniest love note delivered from Brandin to Lauren before the ceremony.
