Our nerdy science couples have always been down for dinosaur weddings and the dinosaur wedding details that accompany them. From dino jewelry and shoes to Stegosaurus hair to fossil-strewn wedding venues, these weddings are from another time. A long, long ago time!
Let's go digging for inspirational artifacts from some of our very favorite dinosaur-themed weddings…
Dinosaur-inspired fashion
Leigh rocked a self-described Stegosaurus-inspired fauxhawk!
Jenny wore these glitter-iffic dinosaur heels.
In case you prefer your dinosaurs green, these heels will do…
Dinosaur decor
Annie and Jose took dinos into the forest on their cake.
Megan and Ian had these gold glam dinos lead everyone's way to their seats. They also rocked these big ol' gold dinos on their tables…
Julie and Chris had some excellent reasoning for their dino details…
Chris likes to refer to my arms as “t-rex like” so we wanted to incorporate that into our wedding, hence Mona the Dinosaur, the t-rex ring bear, and the lollipop favors.
You can easily DIY these dinosaur jars for centerpieces!
This card box was inspired by one of our favorite readings, “A Lovely Love Story” by Edward Monkton. Don't miss that he's actually reading the book!
Devon and Faith had these GORGEOUS dinosaur topiaries at their Los Angeles Natural History Museum wedding.
Dino museum venues
Jenny and Reuben took some photos at the Field Museum in Chicago. Watch out for that T-Rex! Here's more of their dino-sized details:
I had gotten him a dinosaur bone engagement ring. We commissioned a life-size Velociraptor puppet to terrorize our guests via photo booth. I wore amazing gold glitter T-Rex heels that made me feel like an ancient force of nature along with my gigantic King Protea bouquet, crown of succulents, and golden claw. The wedding party wore gold dinosaur boutonnieres with living air plants. We got portraits taken at the Field Museum in front of Sue and also at the prehistoric looking fern room at the Garfield Park Conservatory.
Samantha and Matt danced and frolicked among the fossils at the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
