Cariona and Omorow first met when Cariona went down to Canouan (a small island in the Caribbean) for work. One night out with friends the two met and danced for a bit but Coriona ended up leaving early. The next week they happened to run into each other again and by the next day he had told her he wanted to marry her. Fast forward a few months (and many visits) later, Cariona moved back down to Canouan for the winter and the rest is history!
When planning their wedding, the couple knew that they wanted to get married down in the Caribbean where it all began. They decided on Bequia, a small island off of the main island, Saint Vincent.
A few days prior to the wedding, they took a catamaran sail out to some of the other islands where they went snorkeling, swam with turtles, and spent the day in the sun enjoying the warm breeze and delicious rum punch (a Caribbean tradition).
The couple was married on the oldest church on the island, St. Mary’s Anglican Church, with their closest friends and family in attendance. After the ceremony, they took a walk down Belmont Walkway where they stopped to have a celebratory drink before heading off to the reception where everyone danced until the party was crashed (literally) at the end of the night, ending in a giant celebration and a spontaneous jump into the pool.
