A red and black self-catered wedding with group dances and a bounce house

Michelle and Jose fused black, red, and a playful sense of fun for their wedding at California’s The Secret Garden Lindsay. The pair brought a whole lot of DIY to the day, including Michelle adding a detachable section to her red wedding gown, and even self-catering her reception. The ceremony was presented in both English and Spanish, and the wedding party managed to pile into a bounce house for a handful of unexpected bridal party photos!

A Game of Thrones-inspired wedding with a dash of Star Wars, unicorns, and a pet guinea pig

Elise and Dick are big fans of Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Battlestar Galactica. They wove their fandoms into a delightfully geeky tapestry, including decorating in Lannister red and yellow, hanging banners with iconography from the films and TV shows, and using blue and purple dragons as tabletop decor. Elise even donned a knee-length Lannister red wedding gown!

And just WAIT until you see the skull-and-earthworm covered groom’s cake…

Use glow sticks instead of sand to electrify your unity ceremony

When it came time for their unity ceremony, Jodi and Kim jazzed it up and pulled out glow sticks instead of sand. We love the daytime glow, and think this would be equally rad at an evening ceremony!

Take “yay” flags up a notch with team flags

Ann and Eric wanted a festive conclusion to their wedding ceremony, so as guests entered the venue, they were handed “team flags” with the bride or groom’s name. Guests then cheered and waved their flags when the pair walked back down the aisle, and it looks like there were big smiles all around.

When Arizona cowboy chic meets hipster Brooklyn: a twang-friendly wedding

Lindsay and Arthur met in New York but originally hail from Arizona, so these two had a whole bunch of influences and passions to bring to their wedding at Williamsburg’s City Reliquary Museum. Arthur took cowboy chic to the next level with his turquoise-and-scorpion-encrusted Western Bolo tie, while Lindsay rocked her above-the-knee length off-white chevron patterned dress.
