Lucille and Chris were married in the courtyard of University House, Canberra Australia. Chris played his ukulele as Lucille walked down the aisle. How sweet is that? The pair also opted to have indie cabaret duo The Jane Austen Argument play at the reception. The details made the event, like Lucille's colored crinoline, the bridesmaid's parasols, and the cutest little cupcakes! Thorson Photography captured all the Mid-century details.

Comments on A 1950s-inspired Aussie wedding with colored crinoline

  1. I didn’t want to scroll past that first photo. It is just too stunning for words.

  2. This was the wedding I have dreamed up since I was a little girl! It’s like she found my inner Pinterest and made it her wedding… absolutely gorgeous. It’s funny, my own wedding was completely different, and I don’t feel like I missed out on anything, but seeing this wedding was a little bittersweet because it had so many aspects of what I had dreamed of, too. Fun and gorgeous!

  3. Every detail of this wedding is just darling! Including the doll-bride, because that’s just what she looked like, a real life 50’s doll with that dress and layered crinolines.

  4. what an absolutely beautiful wedding, they both look so in love and happy
