When it comes to engagement rings and wedding rings in general, you don't have to spend a bunch of paychecks on something wildly expensive. The diamond industry keeps asking why millennials aren't buying as many diamonds and it's clear: diamonds aren't the only way to go anymore.
I found a whole bunch of super affordable wedding rings with colored semi-precious stones, opals, sapphires, Tahitian pearls, and yep, even a few gorgeous diamonds (and black diamonds!). The metals range from sterling silver to white gold and beyond, so choose carefully if you're looking for something more or less durable.
Let's go shopping for some purty sparklies that are all under (some WELL under) a $500 price tag…

Pandora is a really good place to look if you want a super affordable ring, and especially if you don’t necessarily want the classic big stone in the middle kind of ring(not that they don’t have those, they’ve just also got quite a few other options). They have a bunch of really cute options and the simple ones start at about $30.
We went there for my engagement and wedding rings.
Originally I was gonna have just http://www.pandora.net/en-us/products/rings/190880cz/by/sort-by/pl and http://www.pandora.net/en-us/products/rings/190837/by/sort-by/pl (so, I was planning on the total cost being $80, which I think is pretty great) but I was with my mother when I went to get the one I planned on having for a wedding band, and she insisted that I needed some “bling” and offered to pay for an extra ring for me, so I also ended up with this one http://www.pandora.net/en-us/products/rings/190963cz/by/sort-by/pl
All 3 together make a pretty set, and the total price was only $145!
I love the Opal & Cubic Zirconia Ring- looks absolutely stunning and above all is affordable!
