We are delighted that Tribe member Aimee (aka Piggy Jinger) and her partner became the third couple in Williamson county, Illinois to receive a civil union license — and they even made the news!

It took just minutes for Chelcee Chip Loghry and Aimee Kolbeck to get a civil union license alternative wedding ideas from Offbeat Wed (formerly Offbeat Bride)

My partner and I were the third couple in Williamson county, Illinois, to receive a civil union license.

I thought the day wouldn't really mean a lot. It's just the license, right? Well, I ended up filled with emotion. I felt every bit of me fill with the love I have for my partner. I was starry-eyed in love all day.

A local news channel interviewed us about our civil union license and the plans we have. It felt amazing to share our love for each other in such a public way. We've had friends on Facebook telling us just how happy they are for us after they saw us on TV. It is a little strange seeing hateful comments about it on the TV channel's website. I've always been lucky enough to not have comments like that directed towards me. But none of that can bring me down.

I'm in love and I'm starting the rest of my life with a person who completes me.

This is the page with the article and video of us on the news.
