I’m already harassing Lisa and her red dress, striped tights, and sparkling shoes to tell us more (MUCH MORE) about her August wedding. But for now, we will have to tide ourselves over with a few teaser photos.
Yes, A Red Wedding Dress (And Tights To Match!)
Normally I’m not one for a poofy skirt. My style leans more towards well-worn athletic gear and comfortable sneakers than ballgowns. But when I saw Lisa’s wedding photos, I knew I had to share them. Look at that red dress!
Forget the rules of typical wedding attire. Lisa went for a massive, crimson ballgown that is anything but conventional. The skirt is a textured, sparkling masterpiece, giving a nod to the grandiosity of a princess dress while keeping it thoroughly modern with its bold color.
And the details! She didn’t stop at the dress. Check out those black-and-white horizontal striped tights peeking out from under the skirt. Paired with sparkly red heels, it’s the kind of offbeat choice that makes you smile. Her dark hair is styled in fun pigtails with red highlights, tied together with a dark headpiece, adding a touch of playful gothic romance.
We even get a glimpse of her groom in the background, keeping the unconventional vibe going in a black Victorian-style frock coat, a red cravat, and a top hat. They make a striking couple, especially in the shot of them walking away across a wooden bridge.
And the bridesmaids! They look tough and gorgeous in their black dresses with red patterns, holding their own gothic-inspired bouquets. They’re a perfect complement to the bride’s bold look.
What’s amusing to me is that as SOON as I saw these photos, I immediately knew this was a UK Offbeat Bride wedding. I don’t know what it is, but you ladies have a distinct look that I adore. A little historical, a little dark, and very very RED!
